I am very, very pleased to tell you that my very first book signing is now going to be at the Bangor Public Library on March 30 at 12 noon. I had planned on having one at Barnes and Noble in NY when I go down to see my soon-to-be publicist, but I decided on someplace that is closer to home in many ways.
I have been going down to the library ever since I was a child and it holds such significance to me. Especially when I found my fathers library card after he passed. If was dated 1972. I have brought my children down to the library since they were tall enough to hold their head up and hope to continue the tradition as long as our family is in the area. Barbara McDade is as happy as I am about this signing and it is with pleasure that I will be giving the library a book as well. She has been such a supporter of me throughout my tenure as a columnist and she is a huge supporter of Maine artists, authors and all things journalistic.
So I hope to see as many of you down there as possible. I will have only 50 books with me, so first come first serve. So gitch ya’ butt down there and say hi.
